You can now give riders a time limit to pay for their entries. If they do not pay in time, their entries are moved back to unsubmitted. Many of you have asked for this.

The problem is familiar to most organizers who take payment at entry. One venue described it well: a rider submits five stables at a show where stables are capped, never pays, and deletes them right before entries close. Those spots were blocked the whole time, and the organizer spent days chasing a payment that never came. Others told us they were chasing payments from the saddle in the middle of their own rides. This feature does the chasing for you.

On the show's General settings, right below Payments enabled, set "Pay within" to anything from 30 minutes to 3 days. The countdown starts when the payer submits their entries. Payments must be enabled and a Stripe account connected for the deadline to be enforced.

When a payer submits entries with an outstanding balance, the deadline is shown in a banner on their entry page and in the confirmation email.

If the deadline passes and there is still money owing, the unpaid entries are moved back to unsubmitted and the payer gets an email with a link straight to their entries. Nothing is deleted. As long as the show is open for entry, they can pay and submit again.

A few details we took care of:

• A payment in progress is never interrupted. If the payer is in the middle of checkout when the deadline passes, we wait for it to finish.
• Entries covered by an earlier payment are left alone. If someone pays for five entries and later adds two more without paying, only those two are unsubmitted.
• Accepted entries are never touched.
• Payers on the no payment required list are not affected. Putting someone on that list also clears their deadline.
• Waiting list entries are free, so on their own they never start the countdown.
• The deadline is never later than the show's entry closing time.

Leave "Pay within" on Disabled and everything works like before.
