Our terms of service, privacy policies and data protection documents now live at policies.equipe.com. One site for app.equipe.com, entry.equipe.com and help.equipe.com, instead of a copy inside each product.
We rewrote every document from scratch. The old ones were written at different times for different products, and they had drifted apart. Some of what they said no longer matched what the software does. The new ones are short, written in plain language, and every claim in them was checked against the code before it was written.
What is there
- For organizers: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, What becomes public, Data Processing Agreement and Subprocessors.
- For riders: Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.
- For developers: Extension terms, covering extensions and the API.
If you read only one
Read What becomes public. It draws the line between what leaves app.equipe.com when you publish, what never does, and how long it stays up. Results are public, and the rules riders compete under require it. Addresses, phone numbers, invoices and bank details never leave your show. That line is worth understanding before a show, not after.
A few things worth knowing
- The Data Processing Agreement applies automatically from your first login. There is nothing to sign. If your federation or legal team needs a signed copy, email us and we will arrange it.
- The subprocessor list is complete. Every company that handles data on our behalf, what it does and where it sits. We post a change there before it happens. Email info@equipe.com if you would like an email whenever that page changes.
- Your data is yours. You can export it whenever you like. There is no binding period and no notice to give. You stay because Equipe works for you, not because a contract says so.
- There is no cookie banner, because we only set the cookies that keep you signed in. Visits are counted with Plausible, which we run ourselves and which sets no cookies.
Equipe Online has its own privacy policy and terms for people with an account there. What appears in the results you read there is covered by the new documents.
Each document shows the date it was last updated at the top. When something changes, that date changes with it. If anything is unclear, email info@equipe.com and we will explain what it means before you have to rely on it.
