Horses

Add it to your show

  1. Open your show in app.equipe.com.
  2. Go to Settings and choose the Extensions tab.
  3. Search for “Horses” and choose it.
  4. Save. Its buttons show up in the Extensions menu of the show.

Version 1.0, build 103.

Availability

The extension is available in Equipe when Horses is selected.

What does Horses do?

Horses provides two tools within Equipe:

  • Remove horses that have no linked rider.
  • Review athlete/horse combinations for FEI Grand Prix qualification.

Choose your interface language using the flag menu in the footer. The choice is saved for your organiser. Screens and exports use that language.

Remove horses without a rider

  1. Open the option for removing horses without a linked rider.
  2. Wait for the horse list to load.
  3. Review the proposed removals. The table shows the horse number, name, birth year, owner/breeder and FEI ID or licence.
  4. To confirm deletion, press and hold Delete for three seconds. Releasing the button early cancels confirmation.
  5. Read the completion message.
Horse-removal preview: five horses without a linked rider are listed for review before holding Delete to confirm removal.

Deletion changes your event data. Review the candidates carefully.

A green message indicates success, orange indicates partial success and red indicates failure. When deletions fail, the remaining table identifies the affected horses and shows Equipe's reason. Do not assume a failed horse was deleted.

Check FEI Grand Prix qualification

Select the Grand Prix

  1. Open the GP qualification option.
  2. Select the Grand Prix. If only one is found, it is selected automatically.
  3. Review the competition table for that FEI level.
  4. Select Check to load the GP start list and qualifying competition results.
Grand Prix selection: the competition table lists potential qualifying competitions for the selected GP's FEI level.

The competition table shows competition number, date/time, name, FEI article, FEI ID and eligibility for checking. A green checked square indicates an enabled qualifying article. No indicates a disabled or unmapped article. A red stop icon indicates a competition that does not pass the timing rule.

Only active GP starts are included. Withdrawn and other inactive starts are excluded; starting-notified entries are included. Pauses are not starts.

Read the results

The screen matches both rider and horse: another horse belonging to the same rider is a separate combination.

  • FEI: a green mark means the result's article is enabled for checking.
  • Result: result text and the source competition.
  • Qual.: green means that result passes the current checks; red means it does not.

A qualifying result needs an enabled article, acceptable competition timing, a ridden result, a rank below 999 and valid faults below 999 in the configured Round 1 or Total field. With Round 1 selected, an elimination or retirement in the initial round does not qualify, even if Equipe gives it a numeric rank. An elimination or retirement only in the jump-off does not invalidate a completed initial round. With Total selected, the total faults must pass instead; Round 1 is not used as a fallback.

Empty historical results show a reason when available, such as Withdrawn. An unknown status is shown with its code rather than treated as a valid result.

Show all is initially off: combinations with a qualifying result are hidden; the other combinations retain their available result rows. When switched on, every combination is shown once, using its first qualifying result where available. The switch uses the results already loaded; use Check again to refresh them.

Not-qualified results: the same combination has Withdrawn and EL results; neither qualifies.
Show all: both qualifying and non-qualifying combinations appear in GP start order.

If all valid combinations qualify, a green message confirms this. If the GP has no valid starts, a red message says Startlist does not have any valid starts.

Same-day qualifying competitions

An earlier-day competition can count. A later-day competition cannot count. For a competition on the GP day, both competitions must have planned start times. The estimated/actual finish must be strictly before the GP start:

  • Not started: planned start + two minutes per active start.
  • In progress: latest result timestamp + two minutes per remaining active start.
  • Finished: latest result timestamp.

Withdrawn/inactive starts and pauses are excluded from the remaining-start count. A ridden start is finished for this estimate even if eliminated. Missing start times keep the competition blocked. Ridden starts without any result timestamp cannot use the not-started estimate.

This is a quick planning estimate, not a guaranteed finish time. The extension calculates it when the competition table loads and recalculates it on Check.

Split qualifying competitions awaiting a FEI ID

An international qualifier without a FEI ID can be included as a split of an existing FEI competition at the GP's level. The competition number must match the original number with a suffix, such as 03:2 or 03B for 03, and both must use the same judgement.

The split uses its own start list, results, date and time. The original FEI ID is not copied into the split. A yellow warning icon in the Date column means the split is on a different date from the original; normal timing checks still apply. If there is more than one possible original competition, a warning is shown and the split is not included automatically. The GP itself is not split.

Sorting and start numbers

When GP start numbers are available, St.No appears and combinations are sorted by that number. Entries without a number follow the numbered entries. Without numbers, sorting is by country, rider surname, given name and horse name. The same ordering is used on screen and in the reports.

Print, Excel and PDF

Report buttons become visible after a successful check with valid GP starts. They export the complete check, independently of Show all:

  • Not Qualified includes all available result rows for each failing combination.
  • Qualified includes each passing combination once, with its first passing result.

Print opens your browser's print dialog. Use current Chrome or Edge for the page-margin footer. Excel downloads an .xlsx workbook. PDF downloads a landscape A4 report.

Excel/PDF filenames include competition number and level, for example FEI-GP-Qualification-27-CSI2.pdf.

Reports include the copyright and version footer without the language selector. In debug mode the branding is yellow DEBUG instead. PDF and Excel also include page numbers. Excel's footer is visible in Page Layout/Print Preview and when printed, not as an ordinary worksheet row.

Errors and limitations

  • If loading fails, retry Check or reopen the extension. Do not use an old report as confirmation of current event data.
  • Export failures are shown in red. Retry the export; downloading does not change event data.
  • Missing or invalid records may prevent a check or deletion from proceeding.

This tool assists the organiser's review. It does not replace the applicable FEI rules or the official's final eligibility decision.
